Ashes of A Love Song.....

As I light my cigarette
Pinched in crescents of my glossy lips
I overhear the last crackles
Picture our sinking dreamboat
Through the plumes of smoke
That sailed us through teenage past

Memoirs of mischievous childlike frolics
Now play hide and seek in ringed trails
I wish to scrub the stains of yesteryear tars
Unclutter the mind of nicotine fortified façade
Imprints on my soul shall remain smeared
With ashes of your charismatic songs of love
