First shoot….
Stone steps
Leading to fort
She looked away at distance
While
He looked at her face
The rising sun casting
The rays of seven horses
Illuminated the golden walls
The background.
The lattices
The second shoot….
Both with the naughty smile
Writ large on their faces
Separated by
Width of corridor
Each leaning on to
The carved sand stone pillar
Arches behind them
seemed overlapping.
The third shoot…
She sat with knee
Bent backwards
He rested his head
on her lap
He looked at her
She bent over him
Letting her hair
Almost touch his face
The fourth shoot
Holding hands
Both separated by an arm’s
length
Smiling pose
As if walking
One leg slightly raised
Her hair flowing
He wearing the jacket
The pigeons fluttered
In the foreground
The fifth shoot….
They stood in between
The two arches
Separated by a column
Hazy mountains in the
background.
She mocked
A gun pointing at him
He in turn mocked
The act of ducking the shot
Sixth shoot….
She with her hair
Messed up curls
Covering her face
Defying all laws of combing
He offering water
From cupped hands.
An old type iron tap
Nearby running with
Laminar flow of water
Of course
This was the best moment
For her
The cupped hand
That offered her water
A sixth small digit
Threw away her Mojri*
To flaunt her sixth toe
A happy polydactyl couple
She almost said aloud.
* Mojari
is a style of handcrafted footwear in India
