Yin and Yang

On a high pedestal sits the Goddess in tranquil pose
An aura of umbra and penumbra engulfs her seat
She spills her royal rob to create a fertile womb
To delve deep into the realms of motherhood divine
Out of the clay, she creates a figure unique
Adores it with eyes from the rays of Moon and Sun
Kisses to implant another eye on the forehead
To attain higher consciousness beyond cosmos
Maternal bliss and sublime love remain elusive for her
More she yearns, farther it gallops into chills of time
Finally embraces the duality, yin and yang, men and women
For the light can only be encountered in the dark tunnels
Humans or animals, all long for what they don’t have
Satisfaction, wiser people say, is synonymous to death
As long as you have desire, you have the instinct to live
But don’t flutter like moths towards paradise of light
White or coloured, all have the same elements of blood
Mind conflicts with matter and good clashes with evil
Live in peace, harmony and all-pervading universal love
Thus, ordains Frida Kahlo in her silent and implicit gestures
